We're so pleased to announce Rosie Isaac and Elena Gomez as the guest co-editors for un Magazine volume 14. Rosie & Elena will produce two issues of un Magazine, 14.1 and 14.2, to be launched in May and November 2020 respectively. Stay tuned...
Rosie Isaac is an artist and writer based in Naarm/Melbourne. Rosie makes performances, videos, texts and sculptures. These works often circulate around ideas of authority, morality and language. Rosie is particularly interested in how language determines and structures thinking. What are the ideological or systematic implications of this linguistic architecture in areas such as law, religion or public space? An ongoing interest in literature, research and writing are central to her practice.
Recently she has made solo performances for Next Wave Festival, Liquid Architecture and MUMA/NETS and had solo exhibitions at Gertrude Glasshouse and Westspace. She teaches in sculpture and drawing programs at VCA, MADA and RMIT VE and has run writing workshops at the High Court of Australia for ANU Fine Art students.
Rosie was a studio resident at Gertrude Contemporary 2016-18 and currently produces Thursday Breakfast on 3CR community radio.
