Editorial Guidelines

Submission Process

We accept submissions twice a year for un Magazine via open call outs via online forms which collect 250 word pitches.

Editorial Process

  • All submissions are reviewed by the Guest Editor/s and Editorial Committee, and a select few are chosen for publication.
  • The guest editor/s retain the right to make and suggest changes to articles in consultation with the contributor. It is important to note that editing is an essential element of being published and it is very likely that changes will be required.
  • Edits are collaborative and transparent; contributors will have final sign-off before publication.
  • However, if an agreement between the editor/s and contributor cannot be reached by the nominated publishing deadline, un Projects reserves the right to release the contributor from their contract. On the occasion the contract is dissolved, the contributor may be compensated up to 50% of the original fee. All rights pertaining to any work produced under contract with un Projects up until the dissolution of the contract will remain with the contributor.
  • Fact-checking is a shared responsibility; contributors should ensure accuracy in names, terminology and citations.
