‘Recollect and Reconnect’ and ‘Djaraba’s Nura’

Mashara Wachjudy is a Sydney-based emerging artist currently undertaking a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts at UNSW/Art & Design. Wachjudy’s work attempts to focus predominantly on the intricacies of cultural identity and belonging through the complex and interwoven relationships between place, time and culture.

Wachjudy’s debut solo exhibition, Outside Inside, was in 2015, and Wachjudy has since participated in group exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne in both gallery and alternative spaces including at Firstdraft, District 01, aMBUSH Gallery, Fawn Gallery and Carriageworks for Sydney Contemporary 2015 as well as an upcoming residency at The Nook Gallery and Artist Studios in March 2016.
